Why do I need a professional decorator?

Professional guidance in any area of service is invaluable.  As a professional decorator I have the knowledge, experience, and expertise to complete your project seamlessly and efficiently, preventing costly mistakes while increasing the value of your property. 

How much will it cost to hire your services for our project?

Each project is different but on average the design fees range between 15-20% of the overall cost of the project. Taking into consideration all the factors involved in your upcoming project, we work together to determine the investment amount needed for your home.  How much your project costs is really dependent on you (the client). Money can be a difficult subject to discuss, but it's an important step in the overall process. 

Do you require a retainer?

Yes.  During the initial consultation we review my services contract outlining every detail of my process.  Once we agree to collaborate, a retainer is collected to secure the date and my services for your upcoming project.  The amount of the retainer is subtracted from the final invoice for services.

Do you share trade discounts?

Products are typically discounted when purchased through a designer from some retailers. Depending on where the item is  purchased you may benefit from these discounts, offsetting the cost of my design services.  

How long will my project take?

Approximately four weeks after our initial meeting I'll present you with the design concept. Some modifications may be required, leading to subsequent meetings before approval. It's important to understand that each change or alteration may affect other aspects of the design, which in turn could increase the time and costs.  Once the design package is signed off, you can expect a minimum of 10-12 weeks on average before final installation.

Do you provide the trades required for the job?

Working with my trades, with whom I've built collaborative relationships,  benefits my clients. The trades are aware of my processes and are respectful of the scheduling of time and personal care required to complete the projects.  My General Contractor and I work side by side, as a team, to manage the daily schedules of these trades.
